Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what information the Hola Supermercado mobile app ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We try to keep things short and plain.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and a unique user identifier from your sign-in provider (for example Google or Apple).
- App content. The recipes, ingredients, steps, household memberships, and similar content you create in the app are stored so you can access them across your devices and share them with people in your household.
- Basic technical data. When the app talks to our servers, we may briefly process technical information such as the device type and timestamps in order to operate the service and diagnose problems.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show third-party advertising in the app.
- We do not use your recipes or content to train third-party advertising or tracking systems.
How your data is stored
Your account and app content are stored on infrastructure provided by reputable third-party processors, including:
- Clerk — handles sign-in and account management.
- Convex — stores your app content (recipes, household data, etc.).
- Apple and Google — provide app distribution and, optionally, sign-in.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your choices and rights
- Access and edit. You can view and change the content you have created at any time from within the app.
- Delete your account. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see Delete your account. Once deleted, this data is removed from our active systems and cannot be recovered.
- Email us. If you cannot access the app or have any privacy question, email tomkortjak@gmail.com and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
